Motivation Letter

With this letter I hereby would like to express my motivation for a Double Degree programme in International Management offered by the Deggendorf Institute of Technology (DIT).
My name is Thais Sampaio and I'm an undergraduate student in Foreign Trade. Growing up in a family that revolved around business, I witnessed my parents’ face different challenges every day while managing their firm. Sharing this journey with them has made me who I am today—an entrepreneur.
I have always been curious to understand why people are so diverse across the world and, with time, that curiosity became my passion. Fusing my entrepreneurial with my passion for discovering and understanding new cultures, I chose Foreign Trade.
As soon as I got to the University, I helped to create a project to support exchange students called  "Projeto de Apoio ao Intercambista" (PAI), a voluntary project that aims to help foreign students throughout their adaptation to the Brazilian culture. Participating in the program for three years, I helped hundreds of international students with their experience and was able to secure close friends in every corner of the world.
During my first year at PAI, although many of the exchange students were from Germany, each of them came from a different part of the nation. As they presented, I learned about the geography, history and culture of each region and it was right then that I began to admire the German culture.
During the World Cup I had the opportunity to work for FIFA as Transport Analyst. I was responsible for the transport logistics of the regular VIP class and the premium VIP class (Presidents, Ambassadors and key employees of FIFA). As a result, I worked with many Germans and have become accustomed to their work ethic. I value their dedication to their projects and want to incorporate the Germanic values in my professional career. For this reason, I want to come and experience Germany.
At SEBRAE (Brazilian Service to Support Micro and Small Companies), where I worked for a year, I met many entrepreneurs and developed an understanding of what kind of a toolkit I needed to succeed. One of the key tools was an advanced education, which I know I can obtain at Deggendorf Institute of Technology. Not only will I be able to interact with German culture, but will also be able to gain the knowledge necessary to succeed in the business world.
After careful overview of the program you are offering with at DIT, I believe that curricula fully suits my intentions, because it mix international training and knowledge with practical experience in an international atmosphere.
Sincerely,
